Air Alliance Houston’s Earth Day Art Contest Auction was attended by a crowd of loyal supporters and new friends last Friday evening. The auction host, Skyline Art Services, displayed the art in lovely setting that inspired guests to browse the art, while sipping wine and enjoying appetizers donated by well known restaurants Ibiza and Irma’s. Guests were also treated to the opportunity to view the newest Tesla surrounded by children’s artwork that was inspired by various global sustainability themes.
Auction Chair Terri Thomas greeted guests, and shared with everyone her inspirational encounters with this year’s winning artists. Artists and their families rounded out the crowd, providing the opportunity for guests to hear artists inspirational stories before bidding on both prints and the original works of art. Bid high….bid often was the theme once the auctioneer began his repartee. One lucky winning bidder was also chosen to receive a free Tesla for a day.
Air Alliance Houston leader Gavin Dillingham tied it all together, by linking our clean air mission to Tesla’s electric vehicles and the healthy future everyone desires to provide for future generations of young children, and adults. After having a great time, everyone left with smiles on their faces and the desire to empower clean air and a healthy future in their hearts. Everyone who attended, and in particular those who bid on the exceptional children’s art pieces, deserve a big round of applause for supporting Air Alliance Houston. Thank you to all our bidders, donors and supporters!
